Choose a cruise line. Some popular options are Carnival, Royal Celebrity, Princess, Norwegian and Celebrity. Determine what you need from the ship, like larger rooms, budget fares or family-friendly entertainment. Then visit the websites of each cruise line you're considering to compare and determine which will work best for you.
Speak to a customer representative at the cruise line you choose to see what 3-day cruises are available during the month you want to travel. The rep will advise you on your options and help you whittle down the choices. If you decide to work with a travel agent instead, he or she will be able to provide the same information.
Make your first payment toward the trip to secure your reservation. Then you will be asked to provide the cruise line with information like your address, telephone number and email so they can send you further information and any important travel documents.
