About Carnival Cruises

Carnival Cruise Lines, the world's largest cruise line, was founded in 1972. Its headquarters are in Miami. Its fleet is dubbed the "fun ships," and the cruises are geared toward a younger clientele, offering late-night parties and plenty of activities.

    • Carnival has 23 ships that are categorized into classes, which include the Dream Class, Fantasy Class, Holiday Class, Destiny Class and Triumph Class, as well as the Conquest Class, Spirit Class and the new Splendor Class.

    Destinations

    • Destinations for Carnival Cruise Lines include the Caribbean Basin, Hawaii, Mexico, Alaska, the Bahamas, Canada and New England. It also has transatlantic, European cruises and a special Bermuda cruise.

    Accommodations

    • Carnival Cruise staterooms include suites, balcony suites, ocean view staterooms and interior staterooms. All feature carpeting, king or double beds and plenty of closet space.

    Dining

    • Passengers can opt to dine at scheduled times in the main dining room. Carnival also offers a "Your Time Dining" program from 5:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

    Amenities

    • Carnival Cruise Fun Ships offer multiple swimming pools, a water slide, casino and dance clubs, as well as several bars and a movie and production theater.
