Carnival is the major cruise operator out of Galveston, Texas. The cruise ship Conquest makes regular seven-day voyages to the Caribbean. The eastern Caribbean itinerary includes visits to Key West and the Bahamas. Another week-long voyage stops at Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. The Carnival Ecstasy provides four- and five-day cruises from Galveston. The four-day cruises make a mid-cruise stop in Cozumel, Mexico, with the balance "Fun Days at Sea." The five-day schedule adds an extra stop at Progreso, on the Yucatan peninsula, the gateway to the Mayan ruins in Mexico. The Ecstasy can accommodate up to 2,617 guests. Amenities include an onboard water park, Internet cafe and Serenity adult-only retreat, for guests over the age of 21 looking for quiet and relaxation.

The Royal Caribbean cruise vessel Voyager of the Seas makes Galveston its winter and spring seasonal port. During the season, the ship provides seven-day cruises to the western Caribbean. One voyage option stops in Cozumel, Mexico; the Cayman Islands; and Montego Bay, Jamaica. Another week-long itinerary hits Haiti, Belize and Cozumel. In the spring the Voyager departs on a one-way 14-day cruise to Barcelona, Spain. The Voyager of the Seas has space for 2,114 guests. On-board amenities include 50s-style and Italian restaurants, rock climbing wall, ice skating rink, nine-hole miniature golf and a full-sized basketball court.
