Carnival Cruises for Kids

Carnival Cruises Lines, headquartered in Miami, Florida, has a wide variety of cruise destinations and activities with kids in mind. Several of Carnival's ships are designed with special areas where kids can play and have fun under the safe supervision of ship counselors. From the ships' amenities to the fun-filled on-shore excursions, Carnival has something for kids of all ages.
  1. Carnival Magic

    • Carnival Magic, one of Carnival's many ships, has roller coasters, a water park and an arcade. The Carnival Magic cruise features a kids' program called Camp Carnival for toddlers ages 2 to 5, juniors ages 6 to 8 and intermediate kids ages 9 to 11. The cruise also has two programs for older kids, ages 12 to 17, called Circle C and Club O2. Camp Carnival activities include board and video games, finger painting, talent shows and dance parties, story time and outdoor activities, such as swimming. The Circle C program was designed for kids ages 12 to 14, and includes age-appropriate video game play, outdoor movies, dance parties, lido deck activities and scavenger hunts. Club O2 is for kids ages 15 to 17, and includes activities such as gaming parties, supervised dance and pool parties, music hang-outs, teen-only off-ship excursions, karaoke jams and sports activities, such as basketball, volleyball and ping-pong. Cruise destinations include Europe and the Caribbean.

    Carnival Destiny

    • The Carnival Destiny cruises departs from Miami, Florida, and go to destinations such as Jamaica, the Grand Cayman Islands, Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay, Nassau in the Bahamas and Cozumel, Mexico. Cruises offer Carnival's Club Carnival, Circle C and Club O2 programs. The kid-friendly ship amenities include a three-deck high twister waterslide with whirlpool, 24-hour arcade, library and Carnival's Seaside Theatre, a 265-foot LED jumbo screen located next to the pool, where kids can enjoy movies and television on the big screen. Off-ship excursions include kayak tours, scuba diving, sightseeing and museum tours.

    Carnival Glory

    • The Carnival Glory cruises depart from New York, New York, and visit destinations in Canada and New England, Portland, Maine and Boston, Massachusetts. There are also cruises departing from Norfolk, Virginia and Charleston, South Carolina that make stops in Freeport and Nassau in the Bahamas, San Juan, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Ocho Rios, Jamaica. The ship has three pools, and a 214-foot waterslide where kids can cool off and have fun. Kids can also experience Carnival's supervised kids' clubs, which are filled with age-appropriate activities, such as video, board and sports games, shore excursions, music concerts, meet and greet parties and outdoor movies. Kids can go ashore accompanied by a ship's counselor, and swim with dolphins, go mountain biking, play on the beach, take a trolley ride, go whale watching, take a Segway tour or go snorkeling.
