How to Mount a CD Player in a Camper

If you own a travel trailer or RV style camper and wish to improve your entertainment or music system, consider installing a CD player into the camper. Many CD players mount onto brackets, allowing the player to fit under the kitchen cabinets or sleeping quarter's shelves. Naturally, you'll need to ensure there is access to one of the camper's wall sockets so you can plug in the CD player once installed.

Things You'll Need

  • Bracket mount kit

Instructions

    • 1

Measure the width of the CD player. Measure the same distance as the CD player width under a shelf or cabinet.

    • 2

Drill out the bracket mounting screw-holes at the marked areas under the shelf.

    • 3

Screw the mounting bracket to the screw-holes. Tighten the screws snugly without stripping the holes. If there are shelves under the mounting bracket, clear away any books or items from the shelf until the CD player is installed.

    • 4

Push the CD player into the mounting bracket and tighten the bracket clamps to the sides of the CD player to secure it into position.

    • 5

Thread the CD player power cord behind any shelves below the player and plug it into a wall socket. Place the items back onto the shelf.
