How to Mount a TV in an RV

Camping in an RV can be uncomfortable if the space is full of large furniture and clutter. Mounting a television on the wall is a more secure alternative than placing it on a television stand, and it frees up floor space. There are no studs in an RV, making toggle screws a good way to mount the television.

Instructions

    • 1

Hold the mounting bracket at eye level on the wall and mark the screw locations with a pencil.

    • 2

Verify that the mounting bracket is even using a level.

    • 3

Pre-drill the four holes in the wall where the bracket will go. Remove the screws from the wall.

    • 4

Press one toggle into each hole, and hammer the toggle until it is flush with the wall surface.

    • 5

Place the mounting bracket on the wall, lining up the holes with the toggles. Drive one screw into each toggle to secure the bracket to the wall.

    • 6

Hook the television on to the mounting bracket and verify that the television is fully supported and not able to shift around.
