How to Use Bromine in RV Plumbing
Bromine has a chemical makeup similar to the more familiar chlorine. Like chlorine, bromine is used as a sanitizing agent in spas, pools and plumbing. Bromine, when added into a recreational vehicle's gray-water or black-water tank, kills bacteria and mold. This keeps the water tank odors to a minimum and extends time between full cleanings of the wastewater tanks. Handle the bromine with rubber gloves, and dilute it like you would chlorine.
