Instructions

    • 1

Turn off the water supply to the RV. This includes the 12-volt water pump. Release the water pressure by turning on the hot and cold water faucets. Drain the water heater, too.

    • 2

Disconnect the cold water line at the bottom of the water heater tank. Disconnect the hot water line at the top of the tank.

    • 3

Warp the male threads of the brass fitting that come with the kit with Teflon tape. These are the ends that go into the tank.

    • 4

Install the fittings into the tank and tighten them. The lame threads for the bypass water line should be facing each other when tight. These threads don't require any Teflon tape.

    • 5

Install the water bypass hose. Tighten the fittings one half then past finger tight. Reinstall the fittings you removed earlier.

    • 6

Reconnect the hot and cold water lines. Fill the tank. Pressurize the system and check for any leaks.
