RV Camping in Eastern Idaho

In Eastern Idaho, you can camp at the public land campgrounds in your RV for free, or at very low rates. Some of the campgrounds have full hookups while others only offer primitive camping.
  1. Camping is Usually Seasonal

    • Big Elk Creek located near Swan Valley offers seasonal camping only, in the fall and summer. It includes 21 RV hookup sites with a maximum length of 22 feet.

    Some Public Land Campgrounds Are Free or Accept Donations

    • Birch Creek located near Mud Lake accepts donations for its camp sites and has 20 RV sites. The amenities provided include drinking water, fire rings and vault toilets.

    Some Public Land Campgrounds Let You Bring Pets

    • Buttermilk near Island Park has RV hookups starting at $12 a night. Bring your pet along. A group area is available.

    Public Land Campgrounds Offer a Variety of Outdoor Activities

    • Coffee Pot near Island Park has 15 RV hookup sites, including eight with electricity, by the river. Canoeing and river rafting are some of the favorite activities.

    Campgrounds Near Yellowstone Park

    • Cave Falls near Ashton is close to Yellowstone Park. It offers 23 RV hookup sites at $10 a night.
