Replace all mattresses with Sleep Number mattresses for RVs. They come in all sizes and are a huge improvement over foam mattresses. If this brand is out of your price range, upgrade to an innerspring mattress instead.
Replace your RV trailer's cooktop with an induction cooktop. If your unit is an oven and cooktop combined, replace the gas-burning model with one that has a convection oven and induction cooktop. A less expensive option is to add on a stand-alone countertop induction burner. Adding an induction unit increases the value of your RV trailer.
Remove all cabinet drawer pulls and knobs. Replace them with custom hardware. Replace plastic slides and low-end hinges with metal ones.
Upgrade Formica countertops to either a solid surface material such as Corian or to granite. Check the weight capacity of the RV trailer to make sure that granite will not exceed the weight capacity.
Change the standard RV toilet to a waterless toilet. There are composting models and incinerating models. Installing one of these systems allows you to remove the blackwater tank. It saves tremendously on water consumption and eliminates the mess associated with flushing and cleaning out a blackwater tank.
Install a solar trickle charger for the RV trailer battery. This will help keep the battery fully charged, and it can be used while in transit. Some models can double as a trickle charger for the towing vehicle's battery if it appears to be having issues.
Add solar panels to the RV trailer. This will greatly reduce the dependency on electricity and propane. Purchase panels that are specifically designed to sit on the roof of an RV trailer.
Add a generator to your RV travel trailer if it does not already have one. This will allow you to park your RV trailer where electrical hookups do not exist. A generator also will keep the systems running if your RV trailer battery fails.
