1. Park your vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
2. Open the hood of your vehicle and locate the front crankshaft pulley bolt. It is usually located in the center of the engine, behind the timing belt cover.
3. Insert the correct size socket wrench into the crankshaft pulley bolt.
Note: You may need to use an extension or a breaker bar to loosen the bolt.
4. Turn the socket wrench counterclockwise to loosen the crankshaft pulley bolt.
Note: The bolt may be very tight, so you may need to apply a lot of force to loosen it.
5. Once the bolt is loose, remove the socket wrench and any other extensions or breaker bars that you may have used.
6. Use a pry bar or a large screwdriver to pry the crankshaft pulley off of the engine.
Note: Be careful not to damage the crankshaft pulley or the engine when prying it off.
7. Once the crankshaft pulley is removed, you can access the timing belt and other components that are located behind it.
