On BritRail, First Class offers bigger seats and wider leg room for passengers. Shorter routes also offer tea and coffee, with longer routes potentially offering food and buffet services.
BritRail does not offer transport to the Republic of Ireland because it is not part of the United Kingdom. An Ireland Pass is necessary when transferring train services.
BritRail offers a Consecutive Pass that allows unlimited travel for the duration of the pass. A seven-day ticket expires seven days after initial use. The Flexi Pass allows for a certain amount of usage days within a specified time limit.
On BritRail, First Class offers sleepers in two forms: large single berths or double berths. Second Class offers double berths, which are typically separated for men and women, although men and women booking together can share attached berths.
BritRail offers free transport from either Heathrow or Gatwick airports to the various train stations for all pass holders. Further shuttle services are not covered by the pass.
BritRail offers seniors discounts for First Class only to travelers over 60 years of age. Children between the ages of 5 and 15 travel for free when accompanied by an adult. Additional children can pay half the adult price. All children under 5 travel free.
