There are two different types of taxis in Havana. The traditional car taxi and the Coco taxi. The traditional car taxi offers transfers to and from the airport as well as tours around the city of Havana. Coco taxis are smaller, bright yellow, coconut-shaped, three-wheel vehicles that operate tours and transfers. These smaller taxis can only seat two passengers and small luggage due to their size. They can weave in and out of small areas which makes for an easy alternative for transportation around Havana. The cost for either taxi type should be negotiated before getting into the vehicle.
