Check the wheels of the moped for flatness or very low tread. If there is very little tread left on the tires, replace them immediately by jacking up end of the bike with the bad tire and loosening the bolts on the sides of the tires. Remove the bolts and slide the tire off. Replace the tire and the bolts and retighten.
Turn the moped on and check for faulty or "no starts" while attempting to turn over. Check all the wires in the electrical system for fraying or ripping and replace any wires with any sign of damage. Take the battery to a car shop to be professionally charged to ensure it does not die while in use.
Examine the fuel system in the rear of the moped. Replace the fuel filter if necessary. Check the linings and fittings of the fuel tank, as well as for cracks in the tank. Pull on the throttle and check for any fuel leakage. Use sealant on top of any cracks in the fuel lines by spraying them evenly for 30 to 45 seconds.
