Harley Davidson 2008 CVO Specifications

The Harley Davidson 2008 CVO is a touring motorcycle that retailed new for around $35,000. Finding a used model would be difficult--although not impossible--as only 999 were produced. As one would expect for such a specialty piece of machinery, it received positive reviews for its easy control and aesthetic style.
  1. Size

    • The Harley Davidson 2008 CVO is around 96 inches long. The wheelbase makes up 63 inches of this length. It has about five inches of ground clearance and a seat height of around 30 inches without a rider. When the driver is on it, the seat height is 29 inches.

The CVO weighs 786 pounds when it is fully loaded with fuel, of which it can hold six gallons.

    Engine

    • The engine has two air-cooled cylinders, arranged in a V configuration. They displace 1.8 liters, and the pistons are four inches in diameter by 4.38 inches long. They compress fuel at a 9.3:1 ratio, meaning they both increase density and reduce volume by a factor of 9.3. The carburetion is done through an electronic injection system.

    Other Specs

    • The CVO has dual caliper brakes on the front wheel and a single caliper brake on the rear wheel. All three of the brakes have 11.8 inch rotors and use four pistons.

The transmission uses a chain to transfer power from the engine to the wheels. The display on the handlebars is fairly standard--speed, fuel, oil, and other readouts consumers expect from a motorcycle display.
