Not a traditional style bed and breakfast, the Herzberg Hideaway (herzbergguesthouse.com) is a private guest house where only one group (couple, single or family) stay at a time. There are 1 1/2 floors, one bathroom and a full kitchen that includes cookware. Multiple people can be accommodated with a queen bed as well as full double and twin single beds. There is a laundry room, air-conditioning and high speed Internet access available, as well as a TV/VCR in the living room. The Bunk House (wyominghiking.com) also deviates from the traditional bed and breakfast, being located on a working llama ranch -- the Lander Llama Company. Guests stay in a lodgepole room with a queen bed, three single beds and a fold-out sofa bed. There is a kitchenette, an inside dining table and outside dining table, and a picnic table by the river. There is also Wi-Fi access, a TV/VCR and a charcoal barbecue available for guest use.
Although both the Herzberg Hideaway and The Bunk House have kitchens on-site where you can cook your own meals, you can also find fast-food and restaurant options nearby. In Worland you can find the Branding Iron Steakhouse, the Golden Dragon for Chinese food, the Habanero Mexican Grill, the One Stop-Hot Stuff for pizza and the Ram's Horn Cafe for American cuisine. In Lander, you will find Sanford's Pub and Grub, China Garden, the Cowfish restaurant and brewery, Tony's Pizza, El Sol de Mexico and Big Noi for Thai cuisine.
Aside from the attractions and activities to see in Thermopolis, there are also a variety of attractions to see within 30 miles of The Bunk House in Lander, including the Fremont County Pioneer Museum, the Lander Children's Museum, Sinks Canyon State Park and the Carissa Mine. The Herzeberg Hideaway is also within driving distance (about 50 miles) of the BLM's Red Gulch Dinosaur Tracksite, Boysen Reservoir and State Park and the Medicine Lodge State Archaeological Site.
