Koyote Ranch Resort provides various ways for campers to enjoy the outdoors. The resort has 31 cabins for rent, but tent and RV campsites also are available. For those preferring a more luxurious lodging alternative, the 5,000-square foot bed and breakfast makes for a relaxing stay. Koyote cabins come in a wide variety. Some sleep up to 10 people with the choice of 1 or 2 bedrooms. Cabins come with heat, air conditioning, shower and restroom facilities, kitchenware and cable television. Tent sites come with picnic tables, water, electricity, fire rings and the use of all common Koyote Ranch areas. The RV sites come with full hookups and provide parking for a chase vehicle. Two pets are allowed per RV. Activities at the Koyote Ranch campground include hiking, picnicking, bird watching, swimming and sight-seeing. Rates to stay at the 100-acre campground depend on accommodations. Overnight, weekly and monthly rates are available.

By the River RV Park & Campground is on 40 acres along the shore of the Guadalupe River in Kerville, Texas, north of Medina. This campground is family-owned and operated and provides 59 full hookup sites and 14 waterfront sites. Primitive tent camping sites also are available. Leashed pets are allowed on the campgrounds except pit bulls, Dobermans, rottweilers and chows. A clubhouse is on the premises with laundry facilities, a kitchen and showers. Weekly, monthly and daily camping rates are available.

Cowboy Capital Campground is east of Medina in Pipe Creek, Texas. This campground provides tent and RV sites. The RV sites come with full hookups, and some of the tent sites have access to water and electricity. The campground is amongst large oak trees and includes a horse pasture for guests traveling with horses. The nearby Medina River provides fishing and swimming opportunities. Other activities include horseback riding, hiking, biking, and visiting nearby museums. Campsites come with restrooms, barbecue stands, picnic tables and fire pits.
