Campgrounds in Breckenridge, CO

Breckenridge is an old gold mining town in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. It has become a popular ski resort town since the mines have closed down and has several trails to ski, snowmobile and horseback ride on. Outdoor adventure is not the only thing found in the town, visitors can hear western stories at one of the museums, see a play at the theater or pamper themselves in one of the spas. Camping is found at several sites in and around Breckenridge.
  1. Tiger Run RV Resort

    • Tiger Run RV Resort is an RV's only campground where the campers must be over 20 feet long. It is a full-service resort with water, sewer, cable television and 20-, 30- or 50-amp electrical service. The grounds have a clubhouse with hot tub, swimming pool, game room, laundry facilities, bathroom and showers. Outdoor activities include basketball court, volleyball, tennis courts, playground for the kids and the pavilion has a rock fire pit for cookouts.

    Peak One Campground

    • The Peak One Campground has 79 basic camp sites located on the Dillion Reservoir. The campgrounds are open from mid-May to late-September. Sitting on the Peninsula Recreation Area close to the Frisco Nordic Center where there are toilets, water and garbage service plus there are paved roads. Each site does have a fire pit for cooking out. The campground takes reservations through the Ranger District for loop B of the campgrounds.

    Pine Cove Campground

    • The Pine Cove Campground sits on the Peninsula Recreational Area and has paved sites with vault toilets, water and garbage service. The 55 sites are located close to a boat launch so campers can boat and fish the Dillion Reservoir. The campground does not take reservations so the first there will be the first served. Camping is available from mid-May to late-September.
