The Calgary West Campground is situated on the far western edge of Calgary and conveniently along the Trans-Canada Highway. This large campground has 320 sites, including 120 with full hook-ups for RVs, 120 with water and electric, and 80 for tents with no hook-ups. The electric consists of either 20- or 30-amp connections, and most sites have Wi-Fi.
Amenities include restrooms, showers, a dump station, camp store, gas station and laundry facilities. A golf course, picnic area and hiking trails are available for recreational activities. The golf course basically is a chip-and-putt and has 18 short holes that play to a par 47. The Calgary West campground advertises itself as the only one in the area with a swimming pool. A shuttle provides service to downtown stops.

Calaway Park Campground is part of Calaway Park, a large amusement center in Calgary that opened in 1982. Calaway Park encompasses 160 acres and has 34 rides as well as live entertainment. The 104 RV sites come with water, sewer and 20- or 30-amp electric hook-ups, or with electric only. Some pull-through sites can handle big rigs and are in shaded areas. On site amenities include restrooms, showers, Internet access, a free dump station and a coin-operated laundry.

Approximately two miles from Calgary, Mountain View Camping has 202 pull-through and back-in sites that come with sewer, water and 30- or 15-amp electric connections. Fire pits are located at the 15-amp sites only, while all sites have picnic tables. Campground facilties include a dump station, laundry facility, restrooms, showers, propane-filling station and picnic areas with tables. The campround has Internet access as well as playground for children, miniature golf course, horseshoe pits, and volleyball and basketball courts. Additional features include exotic birds and petting animals and a store that sells groceries.
