Cabin Creek Campground has some shaded sites, with a few being pull-through. Each site has picnic tables, water, cable and electric service. The ground has a restroom facility with hot showers and a laundry room. A camp store has ice and grocery items and a cozy sitting area with fireplace. WiFi access is available throughout the campground. Pets are welcome and there is even a pet walking area.
The clubhouse ia available for large group outings and children have a playground. A nearby recreation center has a batting cage, driving range and miniature golf course. The campground is also near Camp Lejeune and offers a discount to military travelers. Other nearby attractions include

White Oak River Campground is on the White Oak River in Maysville, about 12 miles from Jacksonville. This campground offers partially shaded RV sites with water, electric and sewer hookups. Each site has grills and picnic tables. Guests may place tents on their sites if the group needs extra sleeping space. They may rent lots daily, weekly or monthly and use the hot showers available inside the park. Guests can enjoy fishing at any of the lakes here, rent a canoe or kayak or launch their own canoe. Other activities include hiking, bicycling, volleyball, horseshoes and ping pong. There is a children's playground area as well. This park is close to Camp Lejeune, the North Carolina Heritage Museum and Tryon Palace.

Fulcher's Landing Campground is in Sneads Ferry, North Carolina, which is 17 miles from Jacksonville. This campground is on the New River and is also close to Topsail Beach and Camp Lejeune. Sites have 50-amp electrical service. This campground offers planned activities such as karaoke singings and dances with a live DJ. It has a long wooden dock, partially covered for fishing. Near the camping area there is access to a boat ramp and docking pier, a tackle shop and jet ski rental. The park offers coin-operated showers and a coin-operated laundry room for its guests. A children's playground and basketball court are also on-site. A game room has arcade style games and pool tables.
