Camp Parks in Ohio With Water Slides

There are several camp parks in Ohio that offer water slides and other recreational water features. Clay's Park Resort in North Lawrence (near Canal Fulton and between Wooster and Canton) has a new adventure water park with amenities for adults and children. Visitors to Clearwater Park, in Uniontown, can come for the day or camp for a weekend or an entire season. Clearwater Park's heated pool has a 144-foot-long slide. Baylor Beach Park, in Navarre, offers a water park with separate lakes for swimming and other water activities.
  1. Clay's Park Resort

    • As of Memorial Day Weekend 2010, Clay's Park has a new adventure water park, complete with both a children's and a "deep end" adventure area and the Tiki Bar stage, with live entertainment. Included in the attractions is a large inflatable slide.

      The resort's 10-acre, sandy-bottomed lake features ring swings, zip lines, a barrel roll and 150-foot water slides. The resort's other features include kayaks and other boats, basketball, miniature golf, a driving range and white-sand volleyball courts.

      The RV resort and campground are open May 1 to November 1. Rates vary, but as of June 2010 range from $31.95 to $47.95 for two people, per night.

    Clearwater Park

    • Clearwater Park offers enough activities to keep campers entertained, including a 144-foot water slide. The park offers overnight and seasonal camping for tents and RVs. The park has a heated pool, log roller, miniature golf course and four picnic pavilions. If you're looking for a summer treat, the park also serves Mert's homemade root beer and hand-dipped ice cream.

      As of June 2010, campsites are $39 per night for two people, with swimming included. Additional people are $4 per night. Campsites include water, electricity, sewer service and free Wi-Fi Internet service.

    Baylor Beach Park

    • Located at the gateway to the world's largest Amish community, Baylor Beach offers the 90-foot "Tube of Terror" water slide. The slide is part of the water park, which also features a 2-acre swimming lake with sandy bottom, beaches and grassy areas, log rolling, diving boards and what the park calls "buckets of fun." There's also a 1-acre "water rides lake" for paddle boats, aquabikes and "funyaks" (kayaks). Other amenities include playgrounds, basketball and volleyball courts, and miniature golf.

      RV camping is open May 1 to the weekend of October 15. Tent campers can stay from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The campground is designed for group use, according to the park, and features level sites, electrical and water hookups, dump stations, restrooms, hot showers and Wi-Fi Internet service
