Campgrounds in Michigan at Sleeping Bear Dunes

Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is a 35-mile stretch of duneland along Lake Michigan's eastern shoreline. The park, in Michigan's northwestern Lower Peninsula, consists of towering dune formations, beaches and forests. Sleeping Bear Dunes is a place where camping vacationers can go to hike trails, climb dunes, visit a lighthouse built in 1871 and hit the beaches. The site is also rich in Native American and early settler history.
