Amenities include electric service up to 50 amps, modern restrooms and showers, a beach house, concessions, playground and picnic areas. A 2-mile bike trail and more than 20 miles of hiking trails offer opportunities to explore the park's diverse habitats, while a canoe trail offers paddling experiences. Canoes, kayaks, paddleboats and rowboats are rented on site. Fishing, swimming and tours of the adjacent Big Sable Point Lighthouse ensure fun activities for the entire family.

      Six miles south of downtown Ludington, Mason County Campground encompasses 150 wooded acres. Its 56 campsites accommodate tents, motor homes and RVs. Electric service up to 50 amps and gravel pads with water and sewer hookups provide the comforts of home. Other amenities include modern restrooms, fire rings, picnic tables and Wi-Fi. Three 24-goal disc golf courses offer fun and challenge. Adjacent to the campground and picnic area, Hull Field hosts radio-controlled airplane enthusiasts. The campground and its facilities comply with the Americans With Disabilities Act.

    Cartier Park

      Just two miles from downtown Ludington, the city-owned Cartier Park Campground welcomes campers to 80 acres along Lincoln Lake. The park offers 195 rustic and modern campsites shaded by mature hardwoods. Full hookups with up to 50 amp electric service, showers, restrooms and a dump station accommodate camper needs. A mile-long paved pathway through pristine woodlands beckons walking, jogging and biking. A boat launch provides lake access for paddling, power boating and fishing. (Reference 4)

    Riverside Park

    • Riverside Park Campground hugs the flowing, fish-rich waters of the Pere Marquette River in Scottville. Situated about 9 miles east of Ludington, the campground offers prime access to trout and salmon fishing along the designated National Wild and Scenic River. Riverside has five tent sites and 54 sites with electric and cable television connections, laundry facilities and a dump station. Recreation amenities include a heated pool, playground, basketball, volleyball and shuffleboard courts, horseshoe pits and a disc golf course. A sidewalk links campers to downtown shops and restaurants.
