Sterling State Park, on the shores of Lake Erie, is 1,300 acres of beach, parkland and campground with 256 campsites. The sites include 50-amp service and electrical service and accommodate tents and RV campers. The campground is located along the lakeshore and has modern restrooms, picnic pavilions and a playground. The park features a six-mile-long hiking trail, boat launch, fishing opportunities, Michigan State Park Explorer programs and swimming beaches.

KC Campground in Milan is on the northern edge of Monroe County. The 20-acre country campground has 100 campsites that accommodate tents and RVs. Pull-through sites are available for big rigs. Campsites are shady with fire rings and picnic tables, and some are equipped with electricity and water. Campground amenities include a sandy pond for swimming, an arcade, basketball and volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, a playground, dump station, modern bathhouse, camp store and propane fill station. KC Campground features planned weekend activities and weekend wagon rides. A water purification system provides drinking water for campers.
The Milan Bluegrass Festival in August is a major draw to KC Campground each year, and reservations should be made early. The campground is open from April 1 through Oct. 31. Some sites are available beyond the regular season for hunters.

Harbortown RV Park is located in Monroe on Lake Erie. The campground is an RV-only facility with 250 paved campsites. Campers can choose between pull-through sites, sites for large RVs and full hookups of 20, 30 or 50 amps. All campsites have wireless Internet, and premier sites have free cable television. Activities at Harbortown include go-karts, miniature golf, an arcade, batting cages, horseshoe pits and a swimming pool. Amenities include restrooms and showers, laundry facilities, a camp store and pavilion. Log cabins are available to rent. Cabins include sleeping quarters for six to eight people, a full kitchen, full bathroom, central heat and air conditioning and cable television.
Harbortown RV Park is next door to an 18-hole golf course and is near shopping, dining and other Monroe attractions.
