Tired of seeing your old newspapers just lying around piling up but hate the idea of throwing them away? Here's a way to recycle them into fire starter logs and make something useful from all those old newspapers. It's easy and just takes a few minutes to do.
Gather several days worth of newspapers or one Sunday newspaper. Remove all the slick ads from the Sunday paper.
Roll them up and tie each end tightly with string. You can also use two washed out tuna cans with both the top and bottom cut out. Just slide them over each end of the newspaper.
Wet the newspaper log thoroughly and let it dry completely. Set it out in the sun to dry for several days.
Use the newspaper fire starter log for the fireplace, fire pit or even a campfire. Depending on the thickness of your fire starter log, it will burn for quite a while.
