What kinds of people lived in the Himeji castle?

Himeji Castle is a historic castle complex located in Himeji, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. It was the residence of the daimyo (feudal lord) of Himeji Domain. Daimyo and his family, servants, samurai, geisha and other attendants would have typically inhabited castle.
