Powell, Wyoming, is a small town located in northwest Wyoming. Powell sits atop a high valley surrounded by the Big Horn Mountains and the Absaroka Range which makes for spectacular views from all points in the town. Powell attractions include the Homesteader Museum, Northwestern College and the Heart Mountain Relocation Center, a Japanese internment camp. The town is located only 50 miles from Yellowstone National Park and 25 miles from Cody, Wyoming, the home of Buffalo Bill. Powell itself does not have any accommodations with kitchenettes but there are establishments in nearby towns.
