Hotels in Chicanna

Located in the Mexican state of Campeche, Chicanna is one of 45 Mayan sites. Its translation means "House of the Serpent Mouth." Occupancy of the site dates from 100 BC to 1100 AD. The site consists of small buildings designed according to the Rio Bec style of Becán, Chenes style and the Puuc style. The highlight of the area is Structure II. This one-story building is the tallest at the site. Its central doorway is a Chenes monster mask of Itzamná, the main God of the Mayan pantheon. There are also two Chac heads above the entrance.     • Located 10 minutes from the Campeche International Airport, Campeche Hotel has 143 rooms. Each room comes with a satellite television and hair dryer. The hotel also has a restaurant, lobby bar and three large halls. These halls are ideal for weddings, New Year celebrations and professional gatherings. Audiovisual equipment is available in the executive A and entertainment halls. As of 2011, you can book your stay for $51 per night.

    • This hotel consists of 42 rooms divided into 13 modules of two or four bedrooms. Decorated with Mayan handmade designs, each room has a private bathroom with hot and cold water, ceiling fan, high-speed Internet access and a terrace in front of the gardens. You can dine at La Biosfera Restaurant and La Palapa Restaurant. As of 2011, you can stay in a double room for $100 per night and a single or triple room for $109 per night.
