You will run into Samson when you drive along Route 87 in southern Alabama. The small country town is about 40 miles west of Dothan, Alabama, and approximately 200 miles from Atlanta, Georgia. It is easily accessible to the Fort Rucker Army Aviation Center, Conecuh National Forest and the Florida state line, which are within a 20-mile drive of the city.
