The Holiday Inn Key Largo is located 5 miles from Thompson. This hotel is right on the Gulf of Mexico and offers guest rooms and suites. The Holiday Inn Key Largo features a large outdoor pool and waterfall and also has a modern fitness center. There are several whirlpools located on the outdoor deck and in select rooms. This hotel also features a variety of meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 140 people. The Tiki Bar and Bogie's Cafe are the on-site restaurants and both serve burgers, sandwiches and the like. Guest of this hotel can take a tour on board the hotel's glass bottomed boat that allows them to see the wildlife up close. The hotel also boat rentals and charters and great snorkeling can be done right off the hotels property.
The Marina Del Mar Resort is located two minutes from the town of Thompson. This hotel is pet-friendly and features 76 rooms and studios. A complimentary breakfast is served each morning and all rooms receive HBO. The Marina Del Mar also features a 75-boat slip for its guests who arrive by boat. Tennis courts, large swimming pool, jacuzzi and fitness center are all located on the premises. Coconut is the on-site restaurant and doubles as a nightclub. This hotel provides guest with deep sea fishing charters, snorkeling, activities for kids, eco tours, dolphin encounters and many other activites. The hotel is also in a location that allows guests to explore the area outside of the resort.
The Rock Reef Resort is 2.6 miles from Thompson. This hotel features rooms that vary in size, configuration and rate, as well as beachside cottages. The cottages feature one room and allow guests to stay right on the beach. The Rock Reef Resort features its own private beach, boat dock, picnic and BBQ area, fishing pier and paddle boats. Snorkeling is available right off the private beach and diving tours can be arranged. Guests can have the front desk arrange deep sea fishing trips, charted by one of the many local businesses. There is no on-site restaurant but Riki Tiki Tatu, a island style eatery, is right next door.
