Seminole, Florida, is the small town that surrounds Lake Seminole. The incorporated part of the city extends south and east as far as the Cross Bayou. Slightly southwest of Tampa, the town of Seminole is home to around 10,000 people. The two furthest points of the city are approximately six miles apart. While there are no hotels within the city limits of Seminole Florida, there are literally hundreds of hotels within a 20-mile radius that will fit any budget or lifestyle.
Just on the other side of the inter-coastal waterway from Seminole is Madeira Beach. The resort is located on the beach and has a pool, shuffleboard courts and an express breakfast in the lobby. Heading north after crossing the inter-coastal waterway will take you to Indian Shores. Just four miles from Seminole, this beach offers many hotel options. The Celebrity Resorts offers one- or two-bedroom apartments on the inter-coastal waterway and across the street from the beach. The resort has a heated pool, fishing pier and a sauna.

Just north of Seminole and across the inter-coastal waterway lies Redington Beach. The Sandalwood Resort is one of several hotels in the Redington area.
