Fayetteville, Arkansas is a city of 70,000 surrounded by the picturesque Ozark Mountains. The Osage and Cherokee tribes were the original occupants of the city; white settlers came to the area in 1828. Visitors can view dozens of historic National Register sites, dating back to the Civil War Battle of Fayetteville, and the famous Trail of Tears runs through the city. Other local attractions include the Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks, the Clinton House Museum, and the University of Arkansas. Several cabins lie within 30 minutes of Fayetteville.
Lake Wedington Cabins are 13 miles west of Fayetteville in the Ozark-St. Francis National Forests. The Devils Den State Park Cabins are in the Ozarks, 26 minutes from Fayetteville. They offer 17 cabins of various sizes, including studios, and one- two- and three-bedroom cabins. Accommodations include fully equipped kitchens, air conditioning, satellite TVs with DVD players, bedding, towels and linens. Several of the larger cabins feature whirlpool tubs. Each cabin also has an outdoor grill and picnic table on the patio. Devils Dent State Park includes a store, swimming pool and café. Activities in the park include hiking, backpacking, mountain biking and swimming.

The Woodhaven Cottages are a 16-minute drive from Fayetteville. While advertised as a bed and breakfast, Woodhaven offers two private, secluded residences, a studio and a loft, which feature queen beds, fireplaces, kitchenettes, hot tubs, porches and TVs. There is free continental breakfast daily. The cottages are a short drive from the University of Arkansas and the Arvest Ballpark.
