Magnetawan, Ontario, about two and a half hours north of Toronto, is the oldest settlement in the Parry Sound district. Roundstone Inn has the Sahara lodge room, with a mini-fridge, microwave, dining area and satellite TV with DVD player. The Cedar Grove suite is located on the second floor of the lodge and has a private entrance and a full-sized kitchen with dishes and utensils. The suite also has a private deck facing a wooded area. The Cavendish and Summerside cottages are two and one-bedroom structures and are large enough for a family. Tanner's Dining and Pub is located on the premises and offers authentic British pub grub.
Quiet Bay Log Motel on Lake Ahmic offers 10 rooms, some with kitchenettes in the heart of northern Ontario’s spectacular natural beauty. It is a short walk to the village and the locks and pets are welcome. You can take in some shopping at the Downtown General Store or the Farmers Market open every Saturday, featuring local produce and arts and crafts. There is ample parking provided.
