Albuquerque Zoo Hotels

The Albuquerque Zoo in New Mexico was founded in 1927 and is next to the Rio Grande. It has more than 250 species of plants and animals on display in state-of-the-art exhibits as well as a number of shows and attractions for all ages. Several hotels are near the zoo for out-of-town visitors who are sightseeing for more than one day.

  1. The Hotel Blue

    • The Hotel Blue is only a four-minute drive away from the Albuquerque Zoo. Choices of rooms include standard guest rooms with either queen or king beds, and suites, which come with a full kitchen and hardwood floors. All rooms have complimentary wireless Internet access, TempurPedic beds and 40” LCD television sets with 100 HD channels. Two meeting rooms in the hotel have a capacity of 150.     • One mile away from the Albuquerque Zoo is the Hotel Andaluz, near other city attractions, such as the Sunshine Theater, where live musical acts perform regularly.     • The Doubletree in Albuquerque is a five-minute drive from the Albuquerque Zoo. It features guest rooms and suites with double, queen and king bed options. Allergy friendly rooms are also available with hypoallergenic bedding. Meeting and banquet spaces are available to seat up to 300 people and they can be outfitted with projection equipment and other electronics for business presentations. There are three on-site restaurants. The Onyx Café serves coffee and food during breakfast and lunch, the ICE Lounge is a casual lunch and dinner establishment, and La Oja Restaurant serves New Mexican and coastal Californian cuisine. Nearby attractions include the Launchpad Nightclub, located half a mile away.

    Mauger Estate Bed & Breakfast

    • For an intimate, homey accommodation, consider the Mauger Estate Bed & Breakfast, located 1.1 miles from the Albuquerque Zoo. This hotel is in a restored Queen Anne house that is on the National Register of Historic Places. It contains seven guest rooms, one suite and two townhouses. The townhouses are 1,000 square feet, can accommodate dogs and have a fenced-in patio. All rooms have a private bathroom. A full breakfast is served every morning. In addition to overnight accommodation, a romance package is available with champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries, cheese and crackers, and flowers. Another package includes a game of golf at Paa-Ko Ridge Golf Club.
