The Hideaways Aficionado Club is a community of world-traveled individuals who have pooled their travel knowledge together to provide information on international destinations.   1. Llao Llao Hotel and Resort

    • Situated in Argentina's Patagonia Mountains, the Llao Llao is a secluded hotel, and features a fitness center and a spa that provides massage therapies and body treatments. On-site upscale dining is available at Los Cesares and Cafe Patagonia, which both serve local cuisine for lunch and dinner; Los Cesares also serves breakfast. The hotel also provides an 18-hole golf course on its property. Guest rooms provide views of the Patagonia Mountains and Lago Perito Moreno Lake, and some of the rooms have living rooms.

    Chateau Eza

    • The Chateau Eza is a luxurious boutique hotel in the French Riviera, and was featured in Travel+Leisure magazine's Top 500 hotels in 2010. The hotel is in a 17th-century chateau. The 10 guest rooms stone walls and fireplaces in the living rooms, and private balconies with sweeping views of the Mediterranean Sea. The on-site restaurant is the recipient of a Michelin Star award, and serves French cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests have access to the hotel's private beach, Anjuna, which also has a restaurant that serves dinner every night; the beach is a 45-minute walk or 10-minute drive from the hotel.

    Snake River Lodge and Spa

    • The Snake River Lodge in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, is a log cabin-style lodge in the heart of the Grand Teton Mountains. Hotel guests can take advantage of the area's skiing during the winter, and fishing and kayaking on the Snake River in the summer. This hotel has received a four-diamond award from AAA, and features an 18-hole golf course, massage therapies at the Avanyu Spa and fine dining at the Gamefish Restaurant, which serves American-style cuisine for lunch and dinner. Most guest rooms have granite-furnished bathrooms, complimentary bathrobes and living rooms.

    The Captain Lord Mansion

    • The Captain Lord Mansion, located in Kennebunkport, Maine, is in a converted 1812 mansion, and its guest rooms have views of the Kennebunkport River. The guest rooms have antique furniture, fine artwork on the walls, marble-furnished bathrooms, and fireplaces. Hotel services include birding kits for guests who want to go bird watching, and free bicycle rentals. The hotel also arranges for massages by local therapists. A gourmet breakfast, which is included in the room rate, is served in the hotel's breakfast room.
