Sunrise Park Resort is owned and operated by the White Mountain Apache Tribe and is located in the heart of Arizona's White Mountains. The Amberian Peaks Lodge overlooks the town of Greer from the banks of the Little Colorado River. The hotel's restaurant is open Fridays and Saturdays, and a minimum stay is required if guests are staying at the lodge during weekends. Pinetop, Arizona is located 25 miles west of the Sunrise Park Resort. Pinetop and the adjacent town of Lakeside were incorporated as one town in 1984. The Best Western Inn is located within walking distance of shops and restaurants in the town center. Also located nearby are horseback riding and hiking trails, the Torrean Golf Course and Silver Creek Golf Course, and fishing on Rainbow Lake. The 41-room hotel offers free breakfast and high-speed wireless Internet access. The Holiday Inn Express hotel is located in the heart of Pinetop. Pinetop and Lakeside were founded in the early 1880s by Mormon settlers arriving in the White Mountains.
