Hotels Near Clints Well Campground, Arizona

Clints Well is a campground located near the junction of National Forest Road and Lake Mary Road on Route 3 in Coconino County, Arizona. It is a short drive from Mogollon Rim, the 2,000 foot dropoff that indicates the southern edge of the Colorado Plateau, and many forest lakes which offer excellent fishing. The nearest hotels and lodges are located less than a half-hour drive away in the towns of Happy Jack and Strawberry.

    • Once a logging camp, Happy Jack Lodge & RV is now a full-service resort 28 minutes from Clints Well. Cabins and suite cabins can accommodate four and six people respectively. Pets are not allowed in the cabins. There is an on-site restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests can enjoy outdoor activities such as hunting in the Coconino National Forest, horseback riding and hiking the trails located around the lodge, or fishing at one of the seven lakes and reservoirs within a 30-mile radius.

    Strawberry Lodge

    • Strawberry Lodge is only a 23-minute drive from Clints Well. The Strawberry Lodge has rooms available. The lodge's on-site restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. On the weekend, local bands and artists perform classic country and oldies live.

    Windmill Corner Inn

    • The Windmill Corner Inn is also in Strawberry, 23 minutes from Clints Well. The inn sits at an altitude of 6,000 feet. Each room has a private entrance off the deck area and a unique decor. Room amenities include queen beds, microwaves and small refrigerators. Rooms are nonsmoking and pets are not allowed. Nearby restaurants include Guiseppe's Restaurant and Mogollon Steak House & Lounge.

    • Tourists of Clints Well can visit Coconino National Forest. Its alpine tundra, forests of ponderosa pine and the famous red rocks of Sedona make it one of the most diverse national forests in the nation. Recreational activities such as camping, hunting, hiking and fishing can be enjoyed here. In Strawberry, visit the restored Strawberry Schoolhouse, Arizona's oldest schoolhouse, and step right into the middle of the 19th century. Also, try some cheese or fudge made from goat milk at Fossil Creak Creamery.
