With a town name taken from the Spanish word "hot," Caliente is a small town in southeastern Nevada with an estimated population of just over 1,000 people. Despite its size, this historical railroad town offers a number of options for lodging, with easy access to stores, restaurants, a casino and the railroad depot.
Located off U.S. Highway 93, the Caliente Hot Springs Motel also doubles as a spa, taking advantage of Caliente's natural hot spring waters. In addition to amenities such as cable, phones, kitchenette units and in-room spa tubs, the Hot Springs Motel also features three indoor soaking tubs filled with hot mineral water at a natural temperature of 105 degrees, pumped in directly from a nearby spring. This water is filled with such minerals as silica, iron, magnesium and potassium.
The Midway Motel is also located off U.S. Highway 93 at North Spring Street. Due to its central location just north of downtown, Midway Motel provides easy access to not only dining and shopping, but also attractions such as hiking in Rainbow Canyon, which is home to the Kershaw-Ryan State Park just two miles south of the city center.
The Rainbow Canyon Motel is located on Front Street in downtown Caliente, just a few blocks away from Rose Memorial Park, with easy access to U.S. Highway 93.
