Cowan Lake State Park is in Clinton County about six miles from Wilmington, Ohio. Cowan Lake's many inlets make it an an ideal destination for canoeing as well as outdoor recreational activities like hiking, birdwatching, swimming and fishing. The park offers campsites to rent as well as 27 cottages with various features.
Each of the 27 cottages can fit up to six people, with two private bedrooms and roll-away beds. Cottage bathrooms have baths with showers, completely furnished living and dining areas and screened front porches. All cottages have heat and air conditioning. The rental includes linens, silverware, cookware and towels. Pets are allowed in some of the cottages.
Two cottages of the 27 available are premium. These premium cottages come with gas fireplaces as well as wooden decks with gas cooking grills, along with all the other regular amenities offered in the standard cottages.
Some activities to enjoy while staying in one of the Cowan Lake State Park cottages include exploring the various hiking trails, swimming in the sand beach area, motorboating or rowing, fishing, picnicking and hunting in some areas.
