Savery is a tiny town located in Carbon County, in south-central Wyoming. The town is just two miles from the Wyoming-Colorado border, and near the towns of Baggs and Dixon. Savery, which is located on the banks of Savery Creek, is home to the Little Snake River Valley Museum. Other area attractions focus heavily on outdoor adventures like rafting, hunting, fishing, and skiing. Area hotels offer convenient proximity to all these.

    • The Ladder Ranch in Savery is a working ranch, focused on raising and marketing sheep and cattle, but it also provides accommodations for travelers. The ranch's primary draw may be its views of nearby Battle, Squaw, and Sheep Mountains, as well as Battle Creek and the Little Snake River. Visitors will also enjoy seeing one the largest elk herds in North America in the surrounding range. Visitors may stay at the Cookhouse,which features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a Jacuzzi, or in the Bunkhouse, with three bedrooms and one bathroom.     • The Country Inn Motel is 15 minutes west of Savery in the nearby town of Baggs. With a convenient location just off the highway, the motel offers the most basic of amenities -- in-room microwaves and refrigerators, and satellite television -- at reasonable rates. They offer weekly rates for longer stays, and RV hookups are also available. Animal lovers will be happy to learn that the Country Inn Motel welcomes pets, and also offers an overnight pasture for horses, with advance reservations.
