The small town of Burkesville is part of the larger and more well-known area of Cumberland County in the foothills of the Kentucky Appalachian Mountains, about 2 1/2 hours from Louisville. Bordered by the Cumberland River, once populated by the Iroquois Indian Tribe, outdoor activities like fishing and hiking are a big draw for visitors to the region. This lodging facility is ideal for families and groups traveling together, with individual cabins that have three bedrooms each, as well as full kitchens and charcoal grills. Guests can wander over seven wooded acres, and are within close driving distance to the area's two state parks. A boat ramp for accessing the Cumberland River is only six miles from the lodge.
