Fujairah is one of the seven Emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates. It is the only Emirate on the Gulf of Oman, as opposed to the rest of the country on the Persian Gulf. Al Aqah is a beach area on the coast of Fujairah where a number of top hotel chains are located.

It is constructed in a Moroccan design and counts amongst its facilities two swimming pools a fitness center, three restaurants, several shops and a disco. The hotel has 321 rooms of the following classifications: superior, deluxe, executive and suites. All rooms have en suite facilities plus air conditioning, minibar, TV, safe, and a balcony or terrace. The deluxe rooms have a wooden partition for a separate children's area. The hotel also has conference facilities and floodlit tennis courts.
The Fujairah Rotana Resort and Spa is located on the golden Al Aqah beach.
