The Garden Key area is a part of The Dry Tortugas, a small cluster of island in the Florida Keys. Originally developed as a site for a lighthouse in 1826, it is now home to the Dry Tortugas National Park and Fort Jefferson. You'll find a wide variety of hotels and accommodations that make exploring the park and its campgrounds is an easy hop from nearby Key West.

At the crossroads of Angela and Simonton streets, this former estate houses 17 suites in one of Florida's most lush tropical gardens. Located in the center of Old Town Key West, the hotel's suites are a spread out among four buildings: the Peggy Mills Mansion, which is on the National Register of historic places, plus two additional buildings and a private cottage. Prices range from $165 a night for an historic guest room to $695 a night for the master suite, depending on the season, as of early 2011.

    • The Ocean Key Spa and Resort is a 100 room property that overlooks the Gulf of Mexico and is centrally located in Old Town Key West. A part of the Noble House Hotels chain, the luxury resort includes two restaurants and a full-service spa. The resort is within sight of Mallory Square, with open-air markets, eateries, live entertainment and the Cayo Hueso y Habana Historeum, a tribute to the Spanish and Cuban heritage of the area. Prices range from $297 for an ocean view guest room during the summer season and up.
