The Marmot Basin ski resort is in the heart of Alberta, Canada's, Jasper National Park, and provides opportunities for skiing and snowboarding November through April. The hotel is a five-minute drive from the offices of the Rocky Mountains River Guides. This company offers guided whitewater rafting tours in the rivers and streams throughout Jasper National Park. The hotel is also less than 10 minutes from restaurants on Pyramid Avenue, including the Palisades Restaurant and the Bear's Paw Bakery.
Situated in northern Jasper, the pet-friendly Tonquin Inn is only a five-minute drive from Marmot Basin, and features RV parking, a 72-foot indoor swimming pool, three whirlpool tubs and shuttle service to the Jasper train station. The hotel's restaurant, Prime Rib Village, serves steak entrees for dinner throughout the year. From May to October, the restaurant also offers a buffet breakfast.
