After a wildly successful pop music career, Kate Pierson of the B-52s decided to set up camp, literally, in the Catskills and opened up Kate's Lazy Meadow. Guests choose from different types of accommodations including a lodge, a cabin, a shack, suites and Airstream trailers. Located on nine acres of land with views of the Catskills Mountains, there is also a private area of the Esopus Creek reserved for Lazy Meadow guests. The Lazy Cabin is a three-bedroom cottage with an eat-in kitchen, living room, fireplace and deck. The Lazy Lodge is located on the Woodland Valley Creek and has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a fireplace inside the lodge and outside on the grounds. The Airstream trailers are available from May to November and require a two-night minimum stay on summer weekends. Each has a full kitchen, air-conditioning and a charcoal grill outside. The Lazy Shack is a a rustic creekside cottage built for two people and will be open in the spring of 2011.
