As Madinah is a holy Islamic city, only Muslims are allowed to enter the city to view holy sites such as Al-Masjid al-Nabawi, which translates to The mosque of the Prophet, Muhammad's tomb, Fatimah's tomb, Abu Bakr's tomb and Umar's tomb. Each hotel has the right to allow only married couples to share a room and to request proof of marriage.
