Dauphin, established in 1898, is a small city in Manitoba, Canada. Located approximately 160 miles north of the United States border, Dauphin is known for its large grain and fishing industry. Ukrainians constitute almost half of Dauphin's 8,000 citizens. Dauphin is a popular vacation spot for anglers and outdoorsmen because of its location between Duck Mountain Provincial Park and Riding Mountain National Park. It is also located amongst Lake Manitoba, Dauphin Lake, and Lake Winnipegosis.
