Dallas, Texas has one of the largest LBGT populations in the United States. Because of this, Dallas has a variety of nightlife experiences which are mostly located in the Oak Lawn neighborhood and include local bars, restaurants, and hot spots. The intersection of Cedar Springs and Throckmorton is called the "Crossroads" of the neighborhood and many LGBT bars are located within walking distance.
The Round Up Saloon is located in downtown Dallas along Cedar Springs Road and offers a country western cowboy themed party every night. The original Round Up Saloon opened in July of 1980 and was purchased by the current owners in May of 1998. The new owners made some changes to the place which included creating new areas such as the Tequila Shack, The Loft, and The Tool Shed. They also now feature a covered patio, and reopened the day bar which is now called The Parlor. Each of these areas offers a different type of entertainment from dancing cowboys to a quiet socializing area.

Dallas Woody's Sports and Video Bar is open seven days a week and is located on Cedar Springs Road in downtown Texas. Each night, Woody's features a different theme or event such as Monday's Off-Key Karaoke, Tuesday Show Tunes, and Friday Night Live Comedy. Wednesdays at Woody's, Miss Wanda hosts a show that features special guests each week. The bar also has daily drink specials and features special events when sports teams such as the Dallas Cowboys, the Dallas Mavericks, the Texas Rangers, and the Dallas Stars are playing.

Sue Ellen's, a lesbian bar in Dallas, opened its original doors in 1987 and moved to its current location in May of 2008. Sue Ellen's expanded in the move and now features two levels, fiber-optic lighting and high definition video screens. The dance floor is located on the first level and the bar also offers a "Lipstick Lounge" for socializing and the "Vixen Lounge" for watching live shows. There are also multiple patios and a pool and game room. Sue Ellen's offers a full bar and is open to guests 21 years and up every night except Fridays when guests 18 and up are welcome. The bar is open nightly until 2:00 a.m. but the party and dancing continues through the morning hours.
