Boxley, Arkansas, Cabins

Boxley Valley, Arkansas, is located in the Arkansas Ozark Mountains about 60 miles east of Fayetteville, along the Buffalo River. Ponca is a township in the valley. For tourists who want to see the elk herds, paddle the Buffalo or just drink in the scenery, there are five cabin rental outfits to choose from.
  1. Cabins and Prices

    • The five cabin rentals in the area are Beaver Creek Cabins, The Old Home Place, Elkhorn Cabin, Walnut Grove Cabin and Ponca House. Each has its own webpage, and the prices all begin at $120.

    Amenities

    • Beaver Creek's two cabins are luxuriously appointed and sit on 700 acres. Native stone fireplaces accent the cabins that include Jacuzzi baths, fully equipped kitchens, television with DVD player and central heat and air. Old Home Place has the same amenities, with less land, but includes river frontage and a porch swing. The elk herd is only five minutes away on foot. Walnut Grove has modern amenities, and accommodations for horses that can be pastured with the elk herd that grazes along the front yard. Ponca House has full amenities, too, and is adjacent to Lost Valley Canoe Outfitters & General Store.

    Directions

    • To get to Boxley Valley take Interstate 40 to the I-540 loop around Fayetteville, Arkansas. Head north on 540 until you reach Springdale, then go east on Highway 412. Go through Huntsville, then Marble. Three miles past Marble, you will turn right on Arkansas Highway 21 South. Stay on AR-21 until you reach the junction with Arkansas Highway 43.
