Southern Arkansas is a beautiful area with old South charm. The southern half of the state offers activities, such as fishing and hiking in the state parks, attending festival celebrations like the Magnolia Blossom Festival, and visiting the Crossland Zoo.     • Moro Bay State Park is located in the south central part of Arkansas. The state park offers amenities for visitors such as boating, fishing, swimming and other water sports. Other benefits include picnic sites, a supplies store, trails and boat rentals. There are 20 camp sites available to RV and tent campers. For those that prefer walls, the park has five cabins for rent complete with two bedrooms, a kitchen and eating area, bathrooms and screen porch. In the area are antique shops and golfing as well as the Pink Tomato Festival, in recognition of the local pink tomato.

    Diamond John's Riverside Retreat

    • Diamond John's Riverside Retreat is located on the other side of the river from the Crater of Diamonds State Park near Murfreesboro, which offers diamond hunting, a water park, picnicking, fishing, hiking and more. The retreat has a rec room available to all guests that includes games and a peaceful fire as well as fishing, picnic areas, and kayaking. Accommodations include unique teepee rentals as well as cabins. Cabins come with either one or two bedrooms, a bathroom and porch.

    • Miners' Camping & Rock Shop is located next to Crater of Diamonds State Park, a public diamond mine. Nearby activities include fishing and rafting on the Little Missouri River as well as visiting the Ka Do Ha Indian Village. Campground amenities are available such as wireless Internet, restrooms and a camp store. Sites are available for tents and RVs with full hooks. Cabins are offered with single beds and picnic tables.
